As a child growing up in the beautiful port of Veracruz, Mexico, I was surrounded by a loving family of artists – from musicians to potters, bead-makers and painters.

When I left Veracruz as an adult to live in the heartland of America, I had no idea how much I would miss the art and culture of my native Mexico.

As I settled in the rolling farmland of Iowa, I was anxious to share my culture with family and friends in the United States.

With my artistic background, I began experimenting in my Midwest studio. Carefully, I cut colorful sheets of glass into unique designs, then firing them in the kiln. Self taught through trial and error, I discovered my passion ~ creating unique jewelry as vibrant as my culture, incorporating the colors and textures I recall from my youth.
